Let us be your local
When you buy TranzAlpinehoney you know exactly where it comes from. And that it is what it claims to be.
We produce 10 kinds of organic honey and each batch is independently tested, processed and packed here in New Zealand.
Our honey has no traces of sprays or synthetic chemicals, and can be traced back to our individual hives that are scattered throughout the Canterbury high country and remote west coast of south island New Zealand.
We’re audited and certified by the Ministry for Primary Industries of New Zealand and BioGro New Zealand.
BioGro™ organic certified
When we say our honey is ‘organic’, then it is.
Our honey is certified organic with BioGro™, New Zealand’s largest and best-known certifier for organic products, accrediting over 750 products throughout New Zealand and the Pacific.
We’ve had our BioGro™ certification since 1993. So we’re not jumping on the organic bandwagon. In fact we’ve always been organic – for over 100 years. We’d love to share our story with you, and you’ll see why our certification is so important to us.

From Ashburton to the world…
Our base is in Ashburton, Canterbury New Zealand. Our bees live happily in central to east coast Canterbury and coastal West Coast on the South Island of New Zealand. You can’t get much more rural than that.
We don’t just produce honey, we treasure the importance of our bees. We know that how we take care of our bees and the hive will reflect on the quality of the product that you purchase. Your honey is also produced using minimal heat so we can prevent damage to the taste and the colour of the final product.
The Best of New Zealand
New Zealand has a reputation for creating trusted, safe and natural products.
New Zealand is known internationally for producing food and beverages manufactured within strict regulatory guidelines. We know that our customers want to know that our organic honey is produced and measured against high standards.
These high standards and being a New Zealand organic brand allows us to produce something unique and something which you can’t buy anywhere else.
Because you want more organic products this has helped us diversify our organic honey and honey product range into health and dietary supplements.
